Dr Cathy Amor

About Cathy

Cathy is a NHS staff member based permanently at the university as a Senior Clinical Tutor for the Clinical Psychology doctoral programme. She is a member of the Old Age Faculty of the British Psychological Society (PSIGE) and takes an active role in the NW branch programme of CPD activities and meetings. Cathy also belongs to the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapists (ACAT) is a qualified practitioner of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). She has an interest in qualitative research methods and works as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a main interest is in selection methods. Cathy is the Chair for the programme's Diversity Working Party and co-chairs a national selection working party for the Group of Trainers in Clinical Psychology. She takes an active role in the Selection and Admissions Working Party. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist and an Occupational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council. Cathy does peer review publications for two journals: Men and Masculinities and for The Journal of Sexual and Relationship Therapy.
