Jo's approach is holistic in nature, and she seeks to understand the relationships between people’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual needs, and within their social context. Some of her specific interests include the relationship between body and mind, and coping with loss and bereavement. Jo has a certificate in third-wave therapies and is qualified as a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) teacher. She has used these approaches in one-to-one therapeutic work, has facilitated MBCT groups, and taught on these topics.
